Lhasa cultural tour - June 2010

First many thanks for the trip - we were well taken care of and the organisation was superb. While at Kathmandu, we would stay all the time at the Gokarna Forest Resort and make short trips to see all the attractions. This was our favorite hotel and we would appreciate its peace and quiet after noisy Kathmandu. We enjoyed our trip and will be recommending you to our friends. With best regards, Olga and Bill.

Kathmandu and Valley tour plus Chitwan jungle safari and overland Tibet Tour - Lhasa to Everest Base Camp - late April to mid May 2010

I had a wonderful adventure in Nepal and Tibet. Kathmandu was mad - or at least the drivers are! Yak and Yeti was great. Chitwan was excellent - never been anywhere like that before. Was lucky enough to have an elephant to myself for the safari and I was allowed to drive(?) the elephant for much of it - amazing. Saw deer, wild boar, bear, monkeys, leopard etc. Really friendly staff and met some nice people.

Tibet is an incredible country. Just one huge plateau - absolutely stunning scenery. My guide Ngawang and driver Jayang were excellent and we had a great time together. Very impressed with Lhasa - lovely city. The journey to Everest Base Camp was very enjoyable - lots of monastery visits - if you want to know anything about Buddhism them I'm your man ! The accommodation, as you had said, was the best available and generally pretty good.

Everest was stunning. I was so lucky - I had two days of wonderful weather there, and the views of the mountain were breathtaking. I'd been dreaming of this moment for many years and it really couldn't have worked out any better. As the weather had been so good I decided to not have the extra day at EBC and instead head on down and have an extra night at Zhangmu. It was really nice to re-gain my appetite and thirst and to sleep well. Back to Kathmandu and a night out - great fun with the music and dancing. And then home...............

The whole trip was organised brilliantly Maggie. I was treated like a lord - Raj, Mingma and the staff do a great job in Nepal and the agency you use in Tibet were very impressive. I met many other travellers on my journeys and none of them were looked after as well as I was. The Himalayan Adventure Company exceeded all my expectations and I will definitely travel with you again if I return to that part of the world. Finally..... thank you Maggie - you've been very helpful and friendly from day one - it's been a pleasure to deal with you. All the best, Mark Nicholls.

Annapurna National Park trek and Chitwan National Park safari family adventure - December 2009

We all had a marvellous time and it is taking a while to readjust to life back home. We have extraordinary memories, and Eva took some great pics. Just thought I'd email to say a very big thank you to you both for organising our trip to Nepal and also for our lovely gifts. We had a fantastic time and are thoroughly smitten with your beautiful country. Maggie, we very much appreciated the effort you put into ensuring the trip was right for us and for ensuring we had the opportunity of experiencing such a wide range of experiences. Mingma, your thoughtful support when we were in Kathmandu was brilliant - we always felt that whatever happened you would sort things out. The trek in the Himalayas was a challenge (for me) but absolutely worth the huffing and puffing that it took to get from Namchee to Tengboche. We absolutely adored Kumjung and seeing the Edmund Hilary School and, of course the yeti skull. The mountain views and presence were truly breathtaking. Binod was a lovely guide - his insights into Nepal were great and his thoughtfulness appreciated. I loved the elephants in Chitwan - your choice of alternative accommodation at Machan was great - we had a fantastic time there and were very well looked after. I didn't get to see a red panda... but all in all I'm guessing we'll be back. The Langtang trail sounds appealing.... Again... many thanks and best wishes Alison & Jamie Farmer

I thoroughly enjoyed our trek to Nepal organised by yourselves. Everything went very well from my prospective. Just wanted to say thank you again, after my first trip with yourselves was such a great success, my expectations were high to say the least for this second trip. You certainly did not disappoint!!I have had another memorable experience, and have made some great friends in Nepal thanks to my time spent there, organised by you. I think a third trip is definitely on the cards sometime soon! The service and organisation was excellent again by the team in Nepal, and obviously by yourself and the staff here in the UK. Gaida [Chitwan National Park] was fantastic! An amazing place! Thoroughly enjoyed the stay there and would go back anytime. Saw Rhino, deer, monkeys, crocodiles etc etc.... but alas no Tiger. Did come close though, we found the prints of a Tiger from that same night... then we found the marks where it had killed a deer... I enjoyed being in Kathmandu again. Back from Nepal full of wonderful experiences and impressions. Trip was excellent and itinerary was just right giving us a perfect taste of Nepal - thank you! ALL Guides, Porters and the support staff were excellent! We really enjoyed the right balance and behaviours of getting the programme executed yet giving us personal space. I could go day after day and rave about various aspects, but let's just say - we really enjoyed it and it was organized impeccably! Annapurna Circuit trek October 2008

The trek was absolutely fantastic and beyond my expectations in no small measure to the exceptional efforts on behalf of your company. The service that we had was first class in every way some of which I will refer to below. Being met by Mingma at the airport and taken to the hotel for the welcome drink followed that evening by the welcome dinner. Prakash was a fantastic guide working so hard from dawn to dusk to ensure that we had good accomodation, good food and even after a day trekking to show us the sights of particular villages where we were staying. We all became great friends of him and ended up cycling with him in Pokhara and asking him and the remaining porter to join us at dinner as our guests. The porters likewise were excellent in every way. We loved their singing and generally happy dispositions and ended up playing cricket against them, other sports and joining in with them in their singing and dancing when we found ourselves alone in a tea house. We met numerous other parties en route and they were all envious of the fun and great service which we had. Without Prakash and the porters our trek would not have been half so memorable. Prakash also went to the trouble of accompanying us to the airport on the evening of our departure which I am sure was quite beyond the call of duty. Mingma was also first class at the beginning and end of our holiday. We all recognised on the trek what an excellent choice we had made in choosing you. We recommended your company to those we met on the trek and on my return now I lose no opportunity of recommending your company to my friends and colleagues who wish to come to Nepal having heard what a wonderful time we had. I for my part hope to return possibly with my children and grandchildren. With very kindest regards and thanks again for all your help over a 12 month period in making the trek the holiday of my lifetime. I cannot stress enough how brilliant you and the whole company were. It was the icing on the cake as far as the trek was concerned. You can always invite potential trekkers to speak to me if they want me to expound on the great service that your company provides. Glenn and I are now getting back to reality after a fantastic time in Nepal.I just wanted to say thanks to you for all your help in the lead up to the holiday and thanks to the whole team in Nepal that ensured we had a fantastic time. Our guide Pradip and porters Ramesh and Dil couldn't have been better. All of them worked really well together to ensure our trek was very enjoyable. Not only did they ensure we got the most from the days on trek but they were excellent company in the evenings as well. My first trip with you to Everest [Oct 06] was so good that I wasn't sure this could live up to it but it did and so I just wanted to give my thanks to everyone that made sure we had such a good time. Thanks for your welcome home note. I find myself regularly thinking "what were we doing this time last week" so we have some wonderful memories. All the staff we encountered in both countries [Nepal & India] were excellent and really went out of their way to make us feel welcome. …we really had a wonderful time in Nepal, whose stunning beauty is matched by the warmth and friendliness of its people. It is a place we will definitely revisit in the future and next time I think we will do some trekking. Cultural tour of Bhutan, Kathmandu Valley & Chitwan safari April 2008

Well, the trip was great!! And I think the east of Bhutan has to be the highlight, getting there along dramatic mountain roads, staying in places that are so peaceful and relaxed, and meeting folk who are always ready with a friendly smile and like to chat - usually about Manchester United! I'm sure you'll be pleased to know that all the arrangements went to plan; flights were great and no problem with connections. The itinerary worked well with just the right balance of staying in places and days of driving. Trashigang is brilliant! The hotel was excellent…a wonderful place to have coffee and read whilst having a spectacular view overlooking the dzong! Chitwan was fun for a couple of days & Nagarkot was also a nice place to visit. All in all it was a great trip, 3 weeks packed full of wonderful memories (and photo's!) thank you for all you did in sorting out the itinerary and being so understanding with all the changes. I hope that we will be able to book for Tibet next year, if not then I'm sure there will be somewhere else to go!!!!!! I have been very happy with all the service and will be happy to book again through Himalayan Adventure Company! Best wishes to you Andrew Parker

The trek was brilliant - everyone coped well and the number of days and length of days was just right. So all our lengthy conversations and your patience were worth it! The whole trip was absolutely amazing. What a fantastic company you have because your people in Nepal could not of done more to help me. I have to say they really looked after me, they were just a phone call away if I needed anything. I found the sightseeing excellent and I have to say hotel was really good. My guide was fantastic along with my porter they really could not have done more. I felt your company's tea houses were excellent and the Sherpa people were truly lovely. What started off a nightmare [with the airline losing my bags] quickly turned into a trip I'll never forget, mainly because of your fantastic company and your great people in Nepal. I was certainly sad to leave but I will definitely go back and soon. Finally I just wanted once again to say thank you for all your hard work and for making my trip one I'll never forget. Annapurna Base Camp trek & Luxury Lodges in the Khumbu (Everest region) trek February -March 2008

We said we would send you some feedback on our superb holiday in Feb-March, and here it is at last. It was a wonderful trip, we are very satisfied customers! Everything went well. Our guide Deepak was superb, there is no other word. He guided us effectively, as one would expect, but here are a few of his additional talents: understanding well what we did and did not want to do, and recognising the pace at which we wanted to walk: supporting Norma when she briefly had altitude sickness; massaging Chris's knee when it played up; effectively rearranging (and agreeing with us) an alternative itinerary when the weather was bad; knowing who to talk to about weather and track conditions, transport etc; quickly responding to our sense of humour, and becoming a good friend.
