Trekking in Ladakh - last chance before end of August

Summer adventures in Tibet

Planning ahead for autumn 2010 adventures
We have a great range of wonderful treks and other adventures this Autumn. The best time to visit most of the Himalaya is after the monsoon ends at the end of September all the way through to December with lush vibrant vegetation, ideal trail conditions, great visibility and peak views and warm pleasant temperatures. Direct flights Amsterdam to Kathmandu - from October 2009
Arke Fly, a Netherlands based airline is planning to launch direct flights from Amsterdam to Kathmandu from October 2009. Previously, Transavia and Martin Air used to fly from the Dutch capital to Kathmandu.This is great news that has been welcomed by the tourism industry and Nepali Government and offers travellers more choice for reaching Nepal. Intial plans are for one flight per week which may be increased depending on demand.Other airlines flying from the UK to Kathmandu (1 change en route) include Qatar Airways, Gulf Air, Etihad, Thai Airways, and Jet Airways
Changes to India visa application process
The procedure for applying for a visa has now changed. As a major step towards upgrading Visa services with the aim of providing a high quality Visa service, the High Commission of India, London and the Consulates General of India in Birmingham and Edinburgh have outsourced the collection of visa applications and their delivery to VF Services (UK) Ltd. The application process is now based on-line and more details can be found at http://in.vfsglobal.co.uk/index.aspx. Please remember you must have your India visa before arrival to India and no visas are issued on arrival.
Delhi - new mandatory Airport Development Fee introduced
From 01 March 2009 for the next 3 years a mandatory Airport Development Fee (ADF) will be levied on all domestic and international flights by the Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL). The charge will be INR200 (approx £2.74) for each domestic passenger departing from Delhi and INR1300 (approx £17.80) for each international passenger (including Kathmandu and Paro departures). All visitors to India from 01 March 2009 will be required to pay these new mandatory charges direct to the airport authorities directly at the time of departure.

adequate travel insurance. All our clients are required to have
appropriate insurance and to provide us with a copy of the policy
as a condition of booking. It is extremely important that your insurance
provider is aware of the type of trip and activities you will undertake.
Final documents and booking can only be issued once we receive these details.

For trips at elevtions lower than 2000m and as members of the Travel Trust Association we
are able to provide some of the best insurance on the market and

We're delighted that Mr Pemba Dorjee Sherpa and Mr Temba Tsheri Sherpa have joined our team as expedition leaders. Pemba has held the world record 3 times for the fastest Everest summit. His latest unbeaten record was a successful summit in May 2004 in an amazing 8 hours and 10 mins from Base Camp! Temba is the world's youngest Everest summiter, making his first summit in May 2001 age 15 years. We're delighted to be working together and very proud to have Pemba and Temba on our team.
